POUSS
‘Pouss’ is a mechanical self-cleaning cat litter box. Besides that, it also provides storage space for various stuff regarding the care of the cat. Therefore this concept is very suitable for small living spaces, because the whole design is dedicated to the care for the cat and groups all its aspects into one object. The two parts (litter box and storage unit) are stacked on top of each other, which saves space. The litter box itself is in height (top unit) because cats love heights.
To get the feces of the cat out of the litter box, the user must push against the top unit. When the top unit is pushed all the way to the left, the feces will fall from the top unit into the bin in the bottom unit. This has to be completed daily. The bin must be emptied weekly, and monthly the cat litter must be replaced. The different subsystems were tested by prototypes.
